get familiar with the Simpler Device

Two options:

project from scratch:

• make a beat with samples you find in the pack (Kick, Snare/Clap, Hat)
• add at least one percussive loop like HiHat, Bongo, Conga etc
• program chords with a single note sample (2-4 bar pattern)
• add a bassline
• (optional) make variations and lay them out in an order & colored so you can easily distingish them on the lauchpad session view..

Recycle the layout you did end of last year (either HypnoticEnergy or RetroGrain) and practice performing:

• use the simpler to chop up a vocal sample.
• perform with the launchpad
• take a 1 or 2 bar phrase you liked
• edit it if you want (pushing midi notes, quantising etc)
• export as an mp3 and
• send me the ableton set. If you have only used the provided samples from me, you don’t have to “Collect-all-and-save” it.
